Thinking about the person you are concerned about, answer 'yes' or 'no' to the following questions:
If you have answered 'yes' to one or more of these questions, it is worth going to see a GP to discuss the possibility of dementia. It may not turn out to be dementia at all but a GP will be able to look into it further to find out if there is any other underlying condition, or simply give reassurance if there's nothing to worry about.
Visit our dementia support page to find out more about dementia including factsheets, You Tube videos and details of the North Lincolnshire 'Dementia Directory' which lists where to get support for those living with dementia and their families, friends and carers. There's also a link to 'The Alzheimer's Questionnaire', a more detailed online test* designed to measure Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) which can lead onto the development of dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
*Any test results should be discussed with a GP for a proper diagnosis
