NHS North Lincolnshire CCG Announces Interim Accountable Officer

NHS North Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Grouphas announced the appointment of a new interim accountable officer.

Emma Latimer will head up the CCG from November 6 2017. She will continue to be accountable officer for NHS Hull CCG with both CCGs to remain individual organisations.

As this is a shared role, Emma will be supported in North Lincolnshire by Julie Warren, locality director with NHS England, who will join the CCG as turnaround director.

North Lincolnshire CCG was placed under formal directions by NHS England as part of the on-going work to bring the health system in North Lincolnshire back into financial balance and to ensure all of the organisations are working as efficiently as possible.

Dr Margaret Sanderson, CCG Chair and local GP, welcomed the appointment saying:

“Emma is an experienced accountable officer in our patch who led the local Sustainability Transformation Partnership for a year and a half and is therefore more than familiar with our challenges. She may be interim in this role with us but she is a permanent part of the system and will be able to bring her experience of leading a CCG rated as outstanding to North Lincolnshire.”

Dr Dan Roper, Chair of NHS Hull CCG, said:

“Emma will continue as accountable officer for Hull and has the support of a very able and dedicated team here. They will ensure that we continue to deliver, along with our partners and providers, the health and social care the people of Hull need and deserve. Emma has taken up a challenging new role but she can rely on the personal and professional support of colleagues on both sides of the Humber.”

The CCG announced on October 19th that Chief Officer Liane Langdon was to move on following completion of her work to lead the CCG through the first stage of the plan to set North Lincolnshire’s health system on the road to financial recovery.
