Vacancy - Lay Member for Governance

North Lincolnshire Clinical Commissioning Group (NLCCG) is looking to appoint a

Lay Member for Governance.

Remuneration is £7,882 per annum
The appointment will be for a 4 year period - in line with our Constitution

The time commitment is at least 2.5 days per month and some time commitment may be required in the evenings.

There will be travel within the Clinical Commissioning Group boundary and some further afield for which allowances will be paid. 

Applicants will either need to live within the local area, be registered with one of our member GP practices or be able to demonstrate how they have a deep understanding of the local perspective.

Brief Role Outline
(as per the Standard National Profile as set out by NHS Commissioning Board in Clinical Commissioning Group Governing Body Members)

  • The role of this lay member will be to bring specific expertise and experience to the work of the governing body. 
  • Their focus will be strategic and impartial, providing an external view of the work of the CCG that is removed from the day-to-day running of the organisation. 
  • Their role will be to oversee key elements of governance including audit, remuneration and managing conflicts of interest. 
  • They will need to be able to chair the audit committee.
